Terms of Service
Last updated November 7, 2026
These terms apply when you use Restaurant Relief — to order food, book a table, or, as a restaurant, to use our ordering, website and business tools. By using the service you agree to them. Restaurant Relief operates from Manitoba, Canada.
For customers
- You're ordering from the restaurant. Restaurant Relief provides the ordering technology; the restaurant sells and prepares your food and is responsible for its menu, prices, taxes, quality, ingredients and allergy information. If you have an allergy, contact the restaurant before ordering.
- Prices and fees. Your total shows item prices, taxes, any delivery fee, any service fee and any tip before you place the order. Service fees support the ordering platform.
- Payment. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. Some orders authorize your card and capture the payment when the restaurant completes the order; if the restaurant adjusts your order, the final charge may change and you'll see it on your receipt. Cash and pay-at-pickup orders are paid to the restaurant.
- Changes, cancellations and refunds are handled by the restaurant. If a restaurant rejects your order, any card hold is released or the payment refunded. For problems with your food, contact the restaurant first; if you can't resolve it, email us and we'll help.
- Delivery is done by the restaurant's own drivers or a delivery partner. Times are estimates. Please give an accurate address and phone number.
- Reservations are requests until the restaurant confirms them. Pre-ordered food with a reservation is cancelled and refunded if the restaurant declines or cancels the table.
- Messages. By ordering or booking you agree to receive texts and emails about that order or booking. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.
For restaurants and business users
- Your partner agreement with Restaurant Relief sets your pricing and commercial terms; if it conflicts with these terms, the agreement wins.
- You're responsible for your menu, prices, taxes, food safety, allergy information, and fulfilling the orders you accept.
- Keep your logins private and tell us right away if you think one has been misused. You're responsible for activity under your accounts.
- Use customer information only to serve your customers and as the law allows.
- When you connect a point-of-sale system (such as Square or Clover), you authorize us to send your accepted orders to it and to read the information needed to do that.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no fraudulent orders, no attempts to access other people's accounts or data, no interfering with the service, and no unlawful content.
Our content
The Restaurant Relief software, design and brand belong to us. Restaurants keep ownership of their own names, logos, photos and menus, and give us permission to display them to run their ordering pages and websites.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep the service running, but it's provided "as is" and may occasionally be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, Restaurant Relief isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the food, service or conduct of restaurants and delivery partners, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the order or service involved. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
